ABOUT: The Green Hornets Boy's Lacrosse Program began in 1969 and is an established Severn Park based neighborhood youth sports association. The Green Hornets staff is able to assist lacrosse players that are aspiring to compete at the highest level, as well as lacrosse players who want to learn more about the sport and have fun.

Mission statement

• We are a non profit youth boys recreational and select/club lacrosse program that aims to improve the lives of all players of all levels by providing each player w/appropriate talent level instruction.
• Our goal is to grow the sport at both the rec and select levels and to provide a transparent, fair coaching philosophy w/excellent communication to the players and their parents.

• Offering the best youth lacrosse program for of all skill levels
• More players than any other program in the area by far (for example 70/90 players annually play in the 2nd grade age group)
• A fun rec division where players get to play all different positions, and are granted request to play with their friends
• Kids play with their friends and neighbors

• A community that is rich in tradition w a long standing lacrosse culture that has consistently provided some of the best talent in the area
• Some of the best teams in the state/region
• Players are coached up year-round but there is an emphasis on having fun and not burning players out (unlike other for profit programs)

  • Spring League: Traditional and select lacrosse.
  • Fall Camp/Clinic: Open to all Players.
  • Select Teams: Requires a tryout, teams play in the HOCO spring league and/or Anne Arundel County League, with Fall and June Tournaments.
