Green Hornets Football - 70 years of "Pride and Passion"

Football was established as one of the original Green Hornets’ sports in 1949. The Organization traces its roots from the mid-1940’s as the Manhattan Beach Youth Football Association, playing games at a field located at the present site of the American Legion Post 175. The program has grown into one of the county’s largest and finest. Last season we fielded 10 tackle football teams of approximately 220 players, 70 coaches and numerous volunteers in six different weight/age levels.

• The Green Hornets football program, under the auspices of the Greater Severna Park Athletic Association (GSPAA), is a member of the Anne Arundel Youth Football Association (AAYFA). The AAYFA has 18 organizations as members and fields approximately 160 teams. The AAYFA is organized as the youth football component under the umbrella of the Anne Arundel County Department of Parks and Recreation.
• Therefore, our program operates and abides by all rules, guidelines and standards set forth by the AAYFA and Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation.
