Coaching

Most head coaching positions are filled prior to season start. However, at most levels there can never be enough assistants. If interested in coaching at any level or capacity, please contact the commissioner and fill out online volunteer registration.

Requirements

  • All coaches require a current background check registered through AA County Parks and Rec.
  • Head coaches are required to obtain coach certification with USA Football, in addition to AA County coach's certification. These are two separate items. Please contact commissioner for details.
Selection Process - Head Coaches

Head coaches are interviewed and selected by the football sports council. At the end of the season all current head coaches are reviewed and if approved, are assigned to a team for the next season. In the event of openings, we attempt to fill them prior to season start but not before online registration begins. Perspective applicants should contact the commissioner.

Selection Process - Assistant Coaches

As registration concludes head coaches will interview perspective assistants and review candidates/plans with council. As tryouts progress, head coaches select their own assistants and determine number needed. Not all coaching volunteers may be selected.
